KUALA LUMPUR, February 18 ― A man in Northern Ireland is abstaining from sex to protect his new hair transplant.

Cathair Curran, 24, from Loughmacrory, County Tyrone, started losing her hair five years ago.

Initially, Curran applied barnet spray, tried different styles to hide her bare scalp and even tried a non-surgical hair replacement system before finally deciding on a hair transplant, Daily Mail reported.

The only downside to the procedure is that Curran had to stop drinking and sex for a month for his new mane to set, as the frolic could damage his newly implanted follicles.

Speaking to social media, Curran share with his followers his progress from cover-up spray attempts to the treatment he received in Turkey earlier this month.

“During the first 30 days (after the transplant), you are not allowed to drink alcohol, smoke, exercise, go to the swimming pool or the sea or have sex “, he reportedly said.

While waiting for the injuries to heal, Curran said he was ready for a fresh start and felt more confident with a new hairstyle.

“I have never had a good hairline before and for the first time in my life I will be able to rock new hairstyles like a buzz cut,” he said.
