Jordy is back in the love game and gearing up for a sexy summer in her new music video

Although its catalog is full of synth-driven bops one way Love and the perils single life, Jordi hasn’t lost his buoyant enthusiasm ― or his sense of humor ― when it comes to matters of the heart.

This week, the pop singer unveiled the music video for “IDK Sh! you», his latest single. In it, he portrays a “Bachelor” type contestant on a dating show. He also plays the three potential suitors: “free-spirited” Jordy, “nerd” Jordy, and “rebellious” Jordy. By the end of the video, however, the jury is still out on whether either of the Jordys are perfect for each other.

“The characters are all little parts of me, just a little exaggerated,” Jordy told HuffPost. “It was so much fun trying on each outfit and getting into character ― something I haven’t been able to do in a visual yet. Growing up as a theater kid, the experience was nostalgic and so exciting to me.

“No matter who you are, nobody really knows what they’re doing,” he continued. “We’re all a little lost, and that’s okay.”

The track itself, Jordy says, reflects his own frustrations at “coming of age” as a 27-year-old gay man in Los Angeles. He wrote the song while visiting Joshua Tree National Park in California with other musicians. Katie Donnelly, Drew Polovick and oston This winter.

“Not a day goes by that I don’t need to call my mom to make sure the bug bite on my leg isn’t infected, if I’m filing my taxes correctly or if I’m perpetually doomed to find love,” he explained. “At a time when it’s so easy to manage your personality on social media and only show what you want to show, it feels like that everyone has their shit together. Nothing is further from the truth than that.

With its anthemic chorus and clapping beats, “IDK Sh!t” is a track built for maximum volume. It’s also a worthy sequel to the previous single.”dry spell‘, on which Jordy had fun talking about hookup culture as ‘the guy who likes to fuck, but likes to cry’.

“IDK Sh!t” and “Dry Spell” are easily two of Jordy’s best songs to date, arriving less than a year after his stellar debut album, “Mind Games”, established him as a rising talent with a knack for becoming self-reflective in happy (and relatable) pop.

The Los Angeles-based singer is set to return to the concert scene with two appearances at the 2022 Lollapalooza Music Festival.

The singer is ready to inaugurate his new musical chapter with two performances to Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago this week.

“I grew up outside of Chicago, and going to Lolla is what I’ve done most summers since I was a high school student,” said Jordy, whose full name is Jordan Shulman. “All my friends and family go there, and it feels like home. I’ve seen so many shows at Lolla hoping to be on stage doing the same one day. I’m so excited to share my heart with Chicago.
